Our Scholars

Our scholars come from across many communities and represent a wide variety of cultural backgrounds and experiences. They are driven and have the potential to succeed, but lack the resources to realize their dreams of going to college. While these families reside in some of the wealthiest communities in suburban Chicago, they live on the periphery economically with an average income of just $30,000 per year. For these kids, it’s not a matter of where they will go to college, but if they will go to college. With the help of CBO, their college dreams are becoming reality.
